Solid Waste
SOLID WASTE PERMITS: ($50.00 per year)
These permits are for trucks fitted with a compactor used for collecting and hauling solid waste including: residential waste, agricultural waste, commercial solid waste, construction or demolition debris, garbage, industrial solid waste, trash, white goods, wood waste and yard trash as defined by the Department of Environmental Quality’s rules and regulations. They are valid for one (1) year and may travel on any state maintained highway, except the Interstate system.

Vehicles with a valid Solid Waste Permit are not prohibited from traveling at night, during moderate rain, or on holidays. These permits are issued on computer generated permit forms from the Truck Permit Office or the Louisiana Truck Center..
