CANCELING

Single trip oversize permits may not be cancelled regardless of the number of days ordered.

Permits paid for by check, money order, credit card, cash, or on the automated system may not be canceled and no refund will be given.

If a canceled permit was transmitted by a wire service, no refund will be given.

If a canceled permit was obtained on a DOTD permit charge account, then $5.00 of the charge will be retained. The request to cancel the permit must be made prior to or on the effective date of the permit. A request to cancel made on the effective date of the permit must be made before 12 noon, or if the permit was purchased later than 10:00 A.M., no later than two (2) hours after the permit was purchased. The final determination will be made by the Truck Permit Office based on the distance to be traveled. Overweight permits ordered for two (2) days and for a travel distance of fifty (50) miles or less will not be canceled.
