The State of Louisiana requires that a liability bond or certificate of insurance, which insures any damages to state property must be posted at the truck permit office before any permit is issued for vehicles and loads, which are overweight or 14 or more feet wide.
If choosing a Certificate of Insurance, the accord should show the Louisiana Customer Account Number, Effective Date, the Expiration Date and the Amount of the Property Damage Coverage.
Minimum amount of Property Damage Coverage must be $250,000.
